are the zoo keepers in the background smoking a ciggerette, and flicking thier ashes on the ground…that cant be healthy for the sea lions…then again i may be wrong….
the sea lions have shows every day during the summer at 12:30. that would probably be a cool time to watch on the webcam if you can’t be there in person!
I absolutely LOVE watching the Sean Lions. We saw them being fed last wk when we were there and they are so fun to watch. Why don’t the babies get as much to eat though?
I wish there were underwater webcams for the sea lions. That’s one of my favorite areas at the zoo. I love how they interact with the people at the window
We like you a lot. You are good swimmers. You are so cute. We want to go to the zoo today. We are so excited. How fast do you swim? Do you know how to do back flips in the water? We hope you have some pups. We hope your habitat is nice and that it looks nice. We hope your zoo keeper gives you food like fish and not pizza. We hope you can see under water.
When I was younger I was a docent at the zoo, and have been a member on and off for years when I can afford to donate. The zoo is remarkable and puts a lot into the care of the animals. I however am rather disappointed in the quality and positioning of the cams. Decora Eagles cam is run by a private group, and far surpasses these cams in every way.
Its a great service to offer, but definitely could use some TLC.

The people in the back are observing and documenting the sea lions. No one is smoking. The zoo is a tobacco free facility.
The keepers are definitely not smoking on the sea lion deck
I like how everytime the baby gets off the crate mom comes over to yell at it haha.
Why isn’t there a camera placed in the “underwater” viewing area? Maybe more for close ups of the animals.
